F1 » F1 Driver of the Year vote: 3rd

A fourth world title, a record-equalling 13 wins and second half domination of the championship still weren't enough to give Sebastian Vettel the coveted #1 in Crash.net's annual F1 poll...

This to me sends out clear message that most F1 fans don't consider this driver the best on the grid even with his epic and dominant season which at times saw him 2.5 sec per lap quicker than his rivals. I just feel Eddie Irvine's comments regards Vettel and the cars this young champion has been driving has hit home and this vote is telling the true story to what is going on at Red Bull.

Good voting by the crash members and it seems much more realistic than the the debacle that has gone on on another F1 site

Makes it clear what a farcical popularity contest this is. I agree that Vettel is an incredibly arrogant and annoying person, but this was supposed to be about driving, not likeability...

Are you fu*king kidded me?? This guy breaks fifty thousand records this year and only gets 3rd...??? This just goes to show more than half of the the people on this website are kimi fanboys and nothing more. There should be a mandatory question when signing up to the site 'Are you a kimi fanboy' yes? Then no you can't have an account. He had a SH*T season after he announced he was going to Ferrari! He really, really doesn't deserve to win.

It really had to be said the the change of tires mid season helped RedBull more than any other team. Up to the point of tires changes, Ferrari and Lotus is up to the task to battle against RedBull, but after that it really favored the Bull's.

I have to say that changing tires mid-season when all teams are using identical tires which all teams test at pre-season and also the tires that they based their design onto... is really controversial. Safety? maybe.... but it's more about the wishes of Redbull and Mercedes. it's really unfair to Ferrari and Lotus. Hope this won't happen again.

Taipan: Most wins, most poles, most podiums, most fastest laps, won the championship by over 150 points.

3rd best driver of the year?
I fully second that, regardless of the tyre and the best car issues or any other issue at that.
The first hurdle overcame (called team mate driving the same car) should in itself weigh a lot in such a vote.

I knew I was going to get a few dislikes for that comment being that most people on here are kimi fan boys.. I thought more people had a bit of sense about them to get a few likes also. I guess it goes to show nearly everyone on this site are fu*king idiots.

Hamilton should have much higher than 8th and is far better than Rosberg. Another thing, Hamilton would destroy Vettel in the Red Bull, except "Uncle Fester" Helmut Markko would probably press the self destruct button as he has done everytime Webber got close, "Sweetie Boy" Vettel.
