Sir Ben Ainslie insists that he would not try to prise Adrian Newey away from F1, even if the designer would be a valuable asset for a UK America's Cup contender.

It surprises me that Ben Ainslie has a knighthood but Adrian Newy hasn't. Ben Ainslie is undoubtedly the most successful Olympic class helmsman of the modern era, but Adrian Newy must be regarded as the most successful F1 designer of the modern era. What is more, Adrian hasn't tried to publicly punch someone else's lights out when they got in his way, nor has he ever been disqualified from an event for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

Don't get me wrong, the Aussie yachting fraternity have a great deal admiration for Ben and his aggression on the water, it's just that we always thought the Poms placed a great deal of store in people behaving as gentlemen (especially when it comes to knighthoods).
