Last year was written on the wall in 2012. McLaren looked like they had started to move the other way at the end of last year, but they are not building the power trains and they are switching manufacturers the year after, tough road ahead.

ron never went away! anybody who belies that he has not been pulling the strings, needs their head examined. he openly admitted his involvement when dealing with lulu, and he has been in the pits at every race.

It has been reported that Dennis spoke to the team on Thursday afternoon and said that the name of the team principal will be announced next month, the same sources asks, “will Ross Brawn make a comeback so soon?”

McLaren has been succesful when Dennis lead directly their F1 team. He have had his touch days as well with three winless seasons 1994-1996 on a trot and 2006 as well or when McLaren was forced to eat the dust of Ferrari(2001-2004) but the 80s has been great for McLaren and Dennis deserves a lot of credit about that. Now McLaren remains without a title sponsor, waiting for Honda's arrival in 2015, with a young talented driver in Magnussen and the most experienced driver on the grid in Button. Also they are trying to lure Alonso. It looks that Dennis has to do it again from the scratch(ehhh not quite exactly but nearly). Will he again lead McLaren F1 team? Will he have the same energy and determination as in the 80s? Will he succed again? Time will tell.

Can't help but agree with Taipan ... the culture certainly changed for the better under Whitmarsh, & aside from Lulu tweeting his telemetry, they pretty much avoided controversy and even became quite a likable bunch.

I wonder how Jenson will fit in with the Dennis culture? I somehow don't think it'll bring out the best in him ...
