He's probably still be in F1 if he had a big cheque book like Perez and Nandos

richard: unwashed. yep, a shame for dtm! last time he was there, h punted neary every other driver off the road. hope the cars are stronger now!

richard my comment was meant to be ironic. But was not he a DTM champion though before make the step up to F1 where he has clearly struggled.

One of the sites are suggesting that PDR may be Mercs designated test driver while in DTM.
Sam Bird used to be their test driver but it would make sense to have an experienced F1 driver in that role, you never know when Lulu might have a more pressing engagement than an F1 race, a modelling shoot or a celeb party for example...

I think if he feels that way it is probably justified because he did whoop Vettel's butt in the earlier formula.

Ultimate: all motorsport competitors think they're the best, it's that arrogance that gets them where they are. Whether or not it's a good idea to make that attitude public is another question :-)

@shpongled - Not all motorsport competitors are arrogant. why are you saying that ?

and the reason why he couldn't maintain his position in Force India was his mouth. Money was the reason why he was not able to join any other team.
