Ericsson positions was 17th(2010), 10th(2011), 8th(2012) and 6th(2013) in last four GP2 series. Caterham recruited # 6 person from 2013 GP2 series. I wonder if GP2 ranking has any meaning at all or it just money matters to all smaller teams including Lotus.

as long as the ride is good enough to allow him to get a new one for 2015 im happy for Koba.

anyone that saw the 2012 season would know he probably deserved that macca seat more then perez.

Good to see Kobayshi back, he never should have been away, I just hope the ca ris good enough for him to remain in F1 because it needs drivers like him. I don't know much about Ericsson apart from the fact that he has been around for some time, my guess is he will turn out to be average like most of the pay drivers around.

What a waste of a good driver. Kamui should be at the very least in a midfield car or even a top 4 or 5 team. He gives great value always, unlike some of the roundy roundies.

I'm annoyed that a talented driver has been kicked out of F1 for this year (PDR) but glad to see Kobayashi back.

This guy deserved to be in F1 through his talent, I'm glad that he got so much support from his fans and a lot of people believe in him.

lets hope he does amazing this with that car which can land him a better seat next year.
