Jenson Button has spoken positively about Ron Dennis' return to the head of the McLaren group as its F1 team attempts to rebound from disappointing 2013 season.

Button certainly knows which side his bread is buttered but needs to watch his back as Ron Dennis has never spoken well of Button comparing him to an underachieving playboy a few years back. Also with Mclaren attempting to woo Alonso back to the fold it could well be Button's swansong this season unless he's prepared to drive for one of the mid grid teams like Massa.

I agree, Button is going to have to go all in this year, as in clearly outclass his teammate, and not just by playing the odds, but by out qualifying him almost always and by owning him in the races, tough year for Jenson, although I don't think anyone can really doubt his motivation, he will have to hash tag the boss this year 4sure.

Button is playing his political cards. While he may not be regarded as being a great driver, he did prove to do well against highly regarded LH in the same car. I do fear that if this is Button's last season with McL this will be the end of him being in a top team as the other top 3-4 teams seem to have their driver line-up set through 2015 at least. I hope you prove them all wrong JB.

Did anyone see the interview with JB at the car launch? I've never seen him so down. Didn't smile once during the interview. When was the last time anyone saw an interview with JB where he didn't smile? I certainly can't think of one. Looks like the loss of his dad has hit him really hard, understandably. Hope he can use it to his advantage this year.

107SS2009: Stevy, apologises, my fingers, Ok it should have been choice, do you still think he had any? I don't.

No apologies needed. Agreed he didn't have a choice but then again they will be much better having Dennis back on board.
