I think Massa & Williams are both a good chance of reliving some past glory this season. Probably not championships but definitely a good chance of some podiums or even win/s. Would love to see it for both!

Too early to tell but so far the impression I've got is that Williams has put together a really good team! Unfortunately it also seems the car is lacking quite a bit on race pace when compared to the other Mercedes powered cars... Hopefully all the testing will pay off and they can prove me wrong.

Since most of the shakedowns and etc should have been done by now I'm guessing Massa will also be doing most of the driving over the next testing sessions.

If Williams can bring out a car capable to get some podiums on the first 3 races (or before the Renault powered cars get their act together) they might be able to develop it enough by mid year to actually be a great dark horse!

Sorry to say but what do they have to compare him against really? I mean to be honest it's been a while since Williams had a really brilliant driver on board... Bottas might turn out to be a future star but so far all he's got to show for is a solid debut season and that does not a superstar make.

Before that we had a good few years of meh. Nakajima, Bruno Senna, Maldonado, a Barrichello that was on the edge of retirement... The Hulk may well be a future great but he also only did his rookie year there. Then we have Rosberg, highly rated now but took his time to impress at Williams, and to be honest I think he's developed a lot since his Williams years.

And before that they had many years of signing pretty solid drivers but nothing too exciting really. Villeneuve might be their last really great driver, although I guess that's a fairly controversial subject... Mansell we can all agree on I think.

...so with that in mind, Massa should easily be one of the best drivers they've had on board in almost 20 years, but that still doesn't say all that much. Hoping he'll find some new inspiration from changing teams though, would love to see him doing well!

I'm surprised that anyone within Williams is surprised at Massa's qualities. He's worked with the best drivers in the business, proved to be the consummate professional at all times and as a driver he's beaten Kimi while team mates and matched Lulu blow for blow throughout his main season of achievement.

Sodesu, I don't think Frank and (previously) Patrick would allow any of the newer members of the Williams team to forget the glory days of Jones, Piquet, Prost etc and the signs are good so far for at least a partial return to those days I hope.

I had the pleasure of meeting Felipe this week, absolute gentleman! Did not want to take to much of his time but he seemed to be optimistic about the package, the team as a whole and was already enjoying being at Williams.
