so actually, his background is no different than all the others: Dad had plenty of money and time bo buy him a kart at the age of 7 and to help him year long to win championship.
And to say that his family had no background in racing???
"my dad helped a friend who bought 3 Porsches..."
Hey, my dad did not even dream having one !!!
Spoiled kid like all the F1 drivers nowadays, never had to work....

Ah the armchair critic... So cynical. Free speech is wasted on the dismissive.

Good luck to him. Regardless of his background and origins, this is a man whose credentials alone should have assured him of at least a GP2 drive this year, so I'm delighted to see Caterham giving him a shot, however limited it may prove to be.

Start of things to come with any luck.

Also, where in the article does it scream he is a 'spoiled kid'?

From what I gather, he was 7 and was having fun. His Dad was dedicated enough to get him a kart... it doesn't say whether it was a struggle financially or whether it was easy, just that he did and good for him.

Regardless, doing that honed his son's talents and now he is in F1.
