Bluetusk: Optimism is the leading cause for embarrassment. But Mercedes did have a strong showing this preseason. Hamilton may prove unstoppable, barring the tires.

looking after the tires is part of modern racing, don't blame the tires blame lewis for not taking good care of them :p

rbr46: Anyone want to guess what "off the track problems" will happen this season that will cost lulu another mythical championship?
Girl problems? Focussing on his rap career?

Love is a battlefield and from the looks of it, things have been patched between L.H. and his interest. There is nothing that comes to mind that could be an off the track problem. His dog is in good health. His father settled with Paul di Resta.

He's got a lot on his plate this year, he's still got pussycat issues, he's working on his new plastic thatch, his American accent needs finalising, he's got two dogs to look after (and any responsible dog owner will tell you that proper dog care is time consuming, getting the necessary pit passes, diamond collars etc) The good news is he seems to have the hat situation resolved, which must be a weight off his mind.

Oh there's also learning to drive the new car and beating the other 21 drivers but that's not as important as the other stuff obviously....

The man put a turbo in his snowmobile whilst on holiday. Was it a lagless turbo? Don't know. But perhaps it will help

If I was a betting man I think I would put my fiver on him this season.

He may let his personal issues and showbiz lifestyle hamper his driving from time to time.

He frequently puts his foot in it where social media is concerned.

And no he is far far from perfect.

But an on form motivated Lewis Hamilton is devastatingly quick probably the quickest of all the current drivers.

And if he wasn't around these forums would be a hell of a lot quieter!
