Caterham F1 rookie Marcus Ericsson is looking forward to the Australian GP despite testing gremlins leaving him short of mileage.

I don't think it's fair to label Ericsson as 'talentless'. He had a stronger junior career than Kobayashi did, the only difference being Kamui had the chance in competitive F1 machinery to show just how good he actually is. Don't write Marcus off before he's even started a Grand Prix.

strider, bit of a shame marcus has to try and prove himself in a dog of a car, the team look far behind murissia already let alone the rest. plus if caterham can't really get it together this year i rekon thats it for them as far as f1 is concerned!

Caterham have managed to net two decent drivers for this year so yeah it is a shame at the level of performance they showed in testing. At this rate they will be further behind the pack than when they started in 2010 but it's silly for people to blame the drivers on that. Alonso, Vettel, Hulkenberg and Hamilton would all be several seconds off the pace in that car.
