Must agree there Kate. Scrap sensors, make as much power as you can from these tiny hybrid motors with a hundred kilos of fuel for an hour and a half, and race for crying out loud. The pinnacle of motor racing emasculated into an economy run for the sake of who? We are the fans who pay and we want the fastest, riskiest, ballsiest sport to entertain us, not so?

This whole green F1 makes no sense at all.
You don't push the boundaries. You just save everything from
tires to fuel,engine,gearbox...
I know a championship that does this better in every way.
Yes, you guessed it right... World Endurance Championhip.
Yet sportscars seem to be pushing it all the way for 24 hours like a sprint race.
But F1 is trying too hard to make itself an endurance championship.
It's beginning to bore me so much that I'm considering other alternatives
to spend my time with.

If they want fuel economy and all that stuff, they should reactivate and do it in Formula Zero

Get rid of the fuel flow restriction and racing will completely come apart, creating more whining and griping than the sensors are causing. While qualifying would be more exciting, with cars tearing off record setting laps with no concern for fuel use, racing would be reduced to a strategic scrum nobody would understand. There would be no passing, as there would be no need for it. You could simply lay out a race strategy that moves the car around the car ahead during their "cruise economy" mode or pit stop, by turning up the wick before turning it down when the desired position is attained. The only time the actual order would be revealed is in the last stint, as the cruisers and blasters strategies came to a close, in what would be a comical mix of fastest and slowest laps all blended together. The flow sensors are a necessary new layer of gadgetry to create a false sense of competition on top of press-to-pass ERS and DRS. F1 is now drowning in a sea of fakery and committee fiddling.

I won't attend any more F1 races until it becomes a race series again. Take a hard look at the motorcycle racing going on around the world. MotoGP/2/3, WSBK and AMA Superbike racing is what F1 was decades ago. It's shoulder to shoulder, its race craft, it dangerous, its strategic, and for the most part results in real closing lap battles. F1 has not been that interesting in 25 years, and is going the way of Indy and NASCAR, with its silly passing toys and clamped down innovation defined by regulation spec racer de-evolution. Why spend $1,2000 on a 3 day pass to the USGP, when that same money will buy tickets to many more exciting bike races. F1 is for the DVR now, where you can fast forward through the boredom, pundits explaining the technology again and again, and commercial interruptions.
