F1isaFraud: I have zero doubt that i was more talented myself

Sounds like the grapes in Perth are awfully sour. Mate, get over it and let the rest of us enjoy the success of another Australian.

F1isaFraud: yes he thrashed Webber but Webber was even more mediocre in Australian karts than Riccardo - Webber was absolutely USELESS in karts - not even in australia top 100 whereas Riccardo was at least OK - maybe top 50) - unfortunately then the only logical conclusion is that the F1 field is FULL of silver-spoons kids

Have you ever paused to consider that perhaps karts and F1 are not the same?

You may have had some good arguments to make, but you have lost all of your credibility through attacking other posters (mostly on other threads), making exaggerations to back your claims and talking yourself up. Not that popularity is the test of truth, but I think there is some wisdom in in a group - check out your agree to disagree ratio.

F1isaFraud:You've taken that quote out of context - I said i am sure i was better myself AND I WASN'T EVEN TOP 10. ie. - it's not about me - it's about what an invalid talent selection filtering process occurs in motorsport - with personal finances being 90% of the filter - resulting in the F1 that is promoted as the worlds best drivers is nothing of the sort - it's the world's best FUNDED drivers.

I took that quote entirely within context. You could have made your point quite well without any comparison between yourself (an internet commentator) and Ricciardo (a driver for the reigning world champions in the premier category of motor sport). For what it's worth, I agree with your main point that money takes some drivers too far (Maldonado is case in point) - but that does not mean you are not chowing down on some mighty sour grapes.

Fraud, while you have a somewhat valid point you also need a dose of reality my friend. It is not just F1 that is supported, and populated by well to do people! MotoGP, Nascar, Indycar, WRC, you name it and they all have feeder series to showcase talent, but in order to even get into those feeder series you need someone to buy you the best parts and people available to make enough of an impression. It is not very often that you see a true rags to riches story in top tier Motorsport.

Kevin Schwantz is as close an example as I can come up with. But even he had support from his uncles bike shop before getting a tryout at Yoshimura. Doug Polen also comes to mind. He made his money racing every club/money race he could find until Eraldo Ferracci came along.

Ricciardo is doing a great job, get used to it, and stop blogging from the pub.
