Simply a masterclass from Alonso, nothing less.... A great indication of what the current level of the car is where both car finish. Merc, 1-2, the best car by far... RBR, 4-5, the second best car.. Ferrari, 3-9, maybe the third best... Which means the podium is entirely because of Alonso.. Not the car upgrades or new team principal but it's the Man itself.

By contrast to Vettel, Daniel is making him look bad and not a four time champion.. I guess Webber is somewhere laughing cause the younger Australian finished around 20sec ahead of Vettel on the same car and same tires.

It would have been interesting to see Ricciardo paired up with Vettel four years ago. I seriously doubt Vettel would be a four time champion. By comparison, Ricciardo is a much faster driver than Webber.

I am looking forward to the day when seb and dan go head to head when both are comfortable with the car. I gotta say I love seeing the young fella do well but I think he still needs to improve.

A masterclass really. To cruise home in 3rd. Rosberg passed him without much of a fight....................................

As usual Alonso is not punished for an collison which replays show he moved into Massa............. Am I surprised not.

Also see the FA fanboys out in force. If he left Ferrari he would have more championships........ he had the best car at McLaren and failed and only won his 2 championships because the Renault was the best car.

He is massively overated.....................

Put Alonso on the Mercedes W05 and Rosberg in the Ferrari F14T and you would see how Rosberg would put a fight to Alonso. As for previous years like 2005, McLaren despite their setbacks still managed to win 10 races compared to the 8 won by Renault. And they had Kimi which in the same car as Fernando can't came close enough to him but still McLaren won more than Renault. The same applies to 2007 when it was Kimi again which won the title for Ferrari this time. McLaren looked so good because had drivers like Alonso and Hamilton at the time but Ferrari was a bit faster and won 9 races to McLaren's 8, 2 of McLaren's victories were on wet races which they held an advantage on these conditions. I know that Kimi is a very good driver and can do better than this but FA is simply the class of the field.
