richard: pcxmerc. dont you mean MERC? ferrari test was not secret, and they used an old car (as per rules) and drivers were the test drivers ,not race drivers trying to be incognito!

Sport on Richard, no point stating facts here anymore though....

more facts since richie is making his own. ferrari didn't break the rules per say but all test conducted with Pirelli should include the data being shared by the others. That was NOT case for Ferrari or the Merc test. And the test was secret as the others were not informed as it happened between races. The teams and Pirelli agreed to transparity. Something that did NOT happen.

The carpet of marbles, greatly diminished at the first races is creeping back and diminishing passing opportunities. Eliminating the marbles should be Pirelli's number one goal. Oh, and making the cars louder, hahaha.

Pirelli should do a Lulu and cut-off the marbles.
Contrary to the Mercedes test the FERRARI test at the time was as per the FIA rules both as per the model/year car, the tyres used and driver/s used.

rob. it was not up to ferrari to "share" the data, but it was up to pirelli to make any required data available to other teams. if other teams did not seek the data, then it was THEIR fault!

further, pirelli offered the test to all teams, but it was only ferrari that took up the opportunity!

unlike you, i am certainly not making up facts.

was there any complaint from others about the ferrari test? NO
was there any complaint from others about the merc test? YES, many!

At first there was shock and dis trust when it was announced during race weekend. it was slightly cleared up after Perilli announced the cars specification and the driver line up. But in NO way was everybody all HAPPY
