F1 » Rosberg believes ‘still all to play for’ on raceday

Nico Rosberg hasn't given up hope of adding to his F1 world championship lead, despite failing to claim pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix.

He's got exactly the same problem with Hamilton as Pedrosa with Marquez. Both barely managed to keep up with their team mates in their team mates' first years in the teams and now they both seem to be totally lost and lack pace.

It's only a matter of time before Nico openly admits that Lewis is faster than him...

strigoy6666,
he knows it already that's for sure, or he wouldn't be doing his homework on "lewis's data"
you can see its starting to get to nico already even he looks confused about how lewis is pulling it off.... not so close buddies now are they.
#its going to get personal

"all it takes is a good start", and unfortunately for Nico, his have been less than stellar. Ricciardo, Alonso and others have jumped Nico at the start in the previous races and Hamilton has run away and hid from the last three poles. Major pressure for Nico this weekend. The first corner could prove to be a turning point in the season.

Funny that we saw Lulu looking at Nico's data before going out for that last quali run ...

I predict a yard sale of broken F1 cars after the run-up to the first corner after the start. Everyone knows how difficult it will be to pass. That leaves the run-up is for all the marbles.

Rosberg needs a good start but will still be conservative and slot in behind.
Ricciardo may get to the inside or the outside of Hamilton and there could be mixed results.
Bottas will do the same as Ricciardo in mirror form. Could end up 4-wide for a moment.
Romain has learned how not to do what he did in the past, but may forget.
Kimi and Alonso will be adding congestion to an already full corner.
Massa will be going full tilt boogie and may take Hamilton out from 9th.
Maldo and Kobayashi screaming up from the rear while the middle is slow (gingerly) and the front is stopping quickly.

An F1 accordion.

Different tires, different strategy. Let's see how this pans out.

I more think that they (overall team) wanted to separate the drivers rather than impart a strategy that is needed or desired for the win (Rosberg's side of the garage).

Rosberg parked on his rear bumper, I don't think Rosberg's garage is worried that he can't take the fight to him. So it sounds like it is coming from above.

The upshot for the racing is now both can race their own races individually and meet up at the end - potentially.
