With a lead in like "Street Virgin" this thread can only go downhill.

In all honesty though I think Monaco is the one venue where all the Video Games and Simulator time can't really prepare you for all the walls, undulations, pavement irregularities and blasting out of the tunnel into blinding daylight etc.

The "track" uses everyday sections of road that circle the Albert Park Lake-- So NO I don't got it. So what exactly is your understanding of using roads as a track Richard?

What about Sochi then?
It is described as "Sochi International Street Circuit, formerly known as Sochi Olympic Park Circuit"

A street circuit should not have huge run-off areas and gravel traps, but should have loads of Armco and walls to crash into. Also the spectators can get closer than the usual 500 yard 'safety' margin
