The F1 race weekend could be set to take on a different format from 2015 onwards as teams look to cut costs

well, at this rate, we'll probably end up with no practice, seasonal or off-season, with only Saturday Qualifying, and 1 hour race on Sunday... it certainly will make up for the cost of going green. OH! Wait, 4 cylinder engines will be a great cost cutter, heck who needs spoilers, get rid of those things as well.

I agree with you GP is the best day. 3 hours worth of F1 practice.
If they are going to restrict F1 practice then they have to fill the programme with other series.
The British GP is shocking value for money.
Christian Horner is right to be concerned about the value for money for the fans...trouble is the Hobbit won't be!

Troll, I mean Chopper, What records has Twinkle broke in the W05? I take it there must be a hell of a lot of them if it happens virtually every time he gets in the car.

EDIT by CRASH.NET! Please to not re-post trolling comments made by others.

Yes, I can just see dozens of children, jumpers for armco, rushing out of double maths on a Friday and pedalling furiously towards Silverstone clutching their £37.45 tickets, to watch some multi-million £ cars, driven by multi-millionaires for an hour or so.

Hopefully, in the maths lesson they learn how cutting TV exposure will reduce the amount sponsors have to pay, reducing income to the teams and the TV companies.

Take a couple of wheels away, make them go faster, and call it motoGP.

It is patetic that teams want to save money by cutting testing and free practices. No ideas and lack of imagination in F1.
Free practices and testing are of utmost importance.
Instead, they should cut parties, orgias, prostitutes, drunkenness, expensive hotels, business and first class air travel tickets, luxury restaurantes etc, etc.
What the hell do those big team´s crews do when no races? In F1 there are big gaps between some races and summer holidays are looming, more time lost. Those people must be realy tired. Patetic.
There should be at least 25 races per season in order to justify those big crews.
Today I saw a shot on this site and others that shows more than 10 Ferrari people only to push a car into the gagrage. This is patetic.
F1 teams need a very good reengineering whether they realy want to save money.

C Horner, Formula one foremost and upmost is a show, is entertainment. Er no, Formula one is foremost and upmost a sport, a sport that we ( the fans) love to watch or spend our hard earned money attending. If the rule makers spent more time treating F1 as a sport rather than a soap opera the entertainment value would return naturally by more even competition and closer racing.
