For all those who immediately blamed Massa, watch a replay, read the rules, then say sorry for getting it wrong.

How come Perez gets a 5 place penalty and M4X gets a 3 place penalty? If anything M4X should get a bigger penalty for trying to blame his completely innocent team mate, bloody idiot.

Have the race stewards have been offered a -£50,000 insurance renewal quote recently by any chance? Not suggesting that you can buy your way into F1, of course, heaven forbid.

Nah they split it between races these days if necessary , or they could just let him start from home in Surrey for the Silverstone GP he could nip up the A34 and not worry the speed cameras!

Alex, I don't have much time for Maxie but even I was surprised that he tried to blame Bianchi for that. He lost it going into the corner, had monstrous oversteer bordering on a four wheel drift, collected his team mate who had left him as much room as possible but accepted no responsibility! what a little t.sser!!

You could tell immediately watching the collision that Perez moved in Massa's way, with the speed Massa was going for the overtake, there was nothing he could do but plow into Perez. Thank god they came out of that okay. One thing the F1 has got right is safety.

These are highly skilled drivers (not every one gets to drive a F1 car) with the reflexes of a fighter pilot, the stamina of a marathon runner, and the odd accident is to be expected - after all racing is racing. I am just glad Felipe is ok after the second major accident of his career (first one in Ferrari) and I reckon Sergio's punishment is sour grapes on the stewards part.

For those of us who have seen the chopper replay, it is nothing but a racing incident. The penalty is another biassed excess by the stewards
