sprulz: Off topic, Hamilton has reportedly been approached by RD and Co, according to Sky and The Daily Telegraph.

Well, I doubt they'll get Alonso so would make sense...sort of.

So the story goes, If Lulu gets beaten to the championship by Rosberg he couldn't handle it and would return to McLaren?

I don't see how that would make sense for McLaren, beaten by the "average" Button over 3 seasons, getting beaten by the less than epic Rosberg over the last season and a half, consistently failed to live up to his own hype at McLaren, embarrassed the team on numerous occasions why would Ron break the bank to get that back? Sign Hulkenberg for a fraction of the cost, none of the hassle and probably achieve far better results.

As for Alonso, Imagine what McLaren could have won if Ron had backed the right man in 2007. Big mistake Ron, you kind of deserve to be where you are today.

somehow i doubt the rumour. dennis and lulu were not even on speaking terms for the last 8 months of their previous connection. and dont forget, apart from 2008 and his lucky wdc, lulu had failed to deliver, even when in the best car on the grid

Quite early to be talking exit strategies. One DNF by Rosberg and a win by Hamilton and it becomes a very tight race once again. And with double points at the end the season remains wide open. Don't see why he would return to McLaren and don't see why they would want him when they have Button developing the car and Magnussen on the verge of being a great driver.

@Taipan. Outperformed when his car has failed twice this year. He blew the chance for pole this weekend, but finished second. Great maturity and patience. Nico is a great second, but can't till the end of the year to hear all this babble about F1 being boring because Lewis is the champ.
