Absolutely BRILLIANT racing between these two - the master, Alonso, and the tough rookie, Ricciardo. What makes Daniel so special is that he doesn't drive or race like a rookie - more like a seasoned pro. No way Alonso would have tried those moves on him time after time unless he had complete and total confidence in DR. Can you imagine the same scenario with Maldonado or Perez? There most certainly would have been a coming together. That was some of the most aggressive, exciting and PROFESSIONAL driving I've seen in twenty years of watching F1....more please!

Was great racing, too bad it was also an economy run, when Seb had to ask , pass or save fuel? Racing should never be about fuel it's racing not street driving. Isn't it the reason we watch it?
Do I drive a Hybrid? Hell no, I drive a belch fire V8, not much with today's fuel prices, but it is a real car... not a Prius...

Ricky is doing a fine job this season. No doubt about that.
But this whole Alonso talk is nothing more than Ferdi trying to degrade Vettel.
To the astute observer though, this is all BS when you consider how Seb effortlessly dispatched Alonzo shortly before the death struggle with Ricky.

WB16: Great to see Alonso playing mind games with Vettel by saying how great his mate is!! No love lost there then....

What mind games? Riccardo is absolutely 100% deserving of such praise and Alonso hasn't been fought so hard in a long time, hence his acknowledgement. Better than the Vettel/Alonso dual recently.
