EdOz: So basically this is 99% the same article and 'news' as the one with Bottas a couple of days ago

You're quite right there. It's expected as not much news being generated during this "summer break". There were perhaps at least 3 stories on Hamilton - reliability, and now we're seeing stories on the wheeling dealing old (I quote) "idiot" dawg Bernie.
Well he is guilty right, when you "settle out of court".

Massa: " damn... He is faster again even when he skipped practice 1 for Susi Wolf"
Bottas: " no wonder he will always be no 2 driver, he is just another nutcase cracker..."

Im not surprised at all. With Pat Symonds involved in the new car after his enforced F1 absence, and Williams recourses, I would be surprised if they DIDN'T have a good car. Much like when Adrian Newey joined Red Bull. (Although i was surprised in that case how long it took them to win races after Adrian joined.)

How about Rob Smedley? I want him to buy me a few lottery tickets.

Forget Massa for a second. If Rob stays with Ferrari, he is out the door this year just as a sign of change. If that's the case, it may or may not be a bit rough to land that follow-up job. Chances are not, and that could be the it for F1. But, for the sake of argument he does. It probably wouldn't measure up to what he has now - unless if it is with Merc.

He leaves on his own accord and as part of the Massa package and now he is stand-alone within the Williams organization (it appears) and they are successful to boot. Writes his own check, potentially.

When you get lemons, hopefully someone has some sugar to make lemonade.
