Alonso is yet again involved in a battle with someone which has a better car. Anyway is not only Ricciardo, Bottas also is not far away and has the chance to score a lot of points in the next two races. The reigning world champion is also there or thereabouts, with a bit of luck (or without the bad lack that hampered him in the first half of the season) he can join the battle with Alonso, Bottas and his team-mate as well. Interesting times ahead. There's also the trilling battle for the WDC between the Mercedes drivers, which is the most important.

Interesting times ahead, indeed : for the rest of the grid to try to recover and to make clear its internal order as a promise to have enough fuel to give Mercedes a proper run for the money, next season.

The best most complete driver on the grid will always target the one in front of him.
I see that the speculation re Alonso to mclaren has dead down now, many were attributing this move as wanted by RD, but I always said that these two can never thrust each other ever again, It was Honda that wanted Alonso on board, they wanted a decision to be made by the 15th, but now that date has gone by Honda had regrettably given-up the chase.
