So... Nico admitted, apologized, but according to Hamilton, he made it to prove a point, and they punished him in some way, but they remain free to race?

What a royal mess this is, punished him with what? Took away his desert?...And for what? Crashing against your team mate? Like if that never happened before in racing?...

Mercedes have not managed this whole affair well at all. Ross Brawn would not have let the relationship between Nico and Lewis get to where it has. Makes for good viewing though I guess.

Sounds the like fan the angry fans from when he was on the podium got it right from day one. Nico did say he would review with the team and then comment.
Questions
1. Did Nico deny he told LH it was his fault ? or was this the Media talking ?

LH was in front of Nico on that turn. Its hard to believe it was not NR's fault. I do believe it was not done intentionally. He just cut it to close and tried to stay as tight as possible. ( as any true competitor wants to do ) I am sure he will rethink this move again and don't cut back in so fast.

sounds a lot like a damage limitation exercise. first of all, lauda backtracks on his initial blame of nico, and now there is mention that nico has been admonished and all is rosy. merc are just doing what they have to, to keep their prime investment happy. lets see what happens in the next race. i doubt that we will see man hugs between the two.

Hahahah .. what a crock!

Sure they met. I am sure Toto just read out the statement that he had already prepared for the press to Lewis and Nico, and then told them to be good boys from now on!

Nico Rosberg was disciplined??? er .. how ... ? For once I agree with Lewis ... this is just like being called to the principal's office at school ... except you can't get expelled.

Roll on Monza! If Red Bull run a low downforce setup again it could be very interesting.
