It's impossible to say if the FIA have got it right because we have no idea what the new evidence was. If it was enough to fine then such a large amount and remove them from the constructors championship then they should have excluded the team completely

Stinks of Alonso to me, coincidence that new evidence comes after driver immunity is offered i think not, Alonso needed an out and he's got one......NOW.

There's another agenda at work here, Maybe the impish french head of Ferrari had threatend to pull them from the '08 championship if no action was taken, the WMSC can't have the biggest name in motorsport doing that so et voila. Alonso in a Ferrari next year...watch this space!

If Mclaren are to be thrown out then the drivers should be as well. But they shouldn't be this is nothing that hasn't happened before and it is not like they here running an illegal car, like ferrari where at the start of the season. Total unjustified only happened because ferrari where winghing. Double standards by the FIA again ferrari never get punished as harshly as this when they cheat.

Ferrari should be thrown out as well for bringing the sport in to disrepute by they way they have behaved. They should have let the FIA get on with things and not tried to influence the decisions by speaking to the press all the time and sending the police to interview Mclaren

Makes no sense to punish the team but not the drivers. Who but the drivers benefitted from the stolen technology? It boggles the mind.

What a ridiculous ruling. There we have it, Alonsín el Payaso crowned king of the circus again.
