F1 » Lewis: I don't want back door title.

Briton admits he'd rather win crown on track.

I honestly think the main difference between this season and preceding ones is the level of scrutiny the press has given F1. The cheating, spying, backstabbing and all the rest of it has always gone on, that's why the team bosses are known as the pirahna club. It's just that it's more in the open this time around. That said, I do agree that the title should not be decided in a courtroom.

This will be much ado about nothing. The fuel temperature gauges weren't calibrated properly and gave mixed readings. As such it was inconclusive and there is no way they will over turn a WDC on it.

I think McL is just appealing to go through the motions. They were outdriven on the track and it wasn't even close. This would be a horrid way to win a championship for either Alonso or Hamilton.

It would be poetic justice if Lewis wins the title thru the courts--

After all didn't Ferrari get the Constructors title thru some Bull--***** court maneuver.

I sincerely hope McClaren win their appeal and Lewis gets the title.

:) :p :) :p

I tend to agree with you on your last comment to a certain point. I am not that worried about Lewis getting the title this year because I know he will get it a few times in the years to come.

I would not be surprised if Ferrari planted the evidence as an ace in the hole early in the season. When they saw that Mclaren were winning the constructors they pulled the spying scandal out and took the constructors championship away from Mclaren. Don't all shout at once!

Ferrari would've won constructor's anyway. Ferrari: 204 points, McLaren: 203 points. It's pretty amazing really, how McLaren managed to screw up the season completely with a dang fine car (be it Ferrari's or not), a 2-time WC and the best rookie ever. It takes special talent to lose a lead of 17 points in two races. No manager would get away with such result considering the resources. And now with this appeal goes any shred of dignity they had left. Well done Mac!

Maclaren are just being sore losers, the fact that Lewis and Alonso can admit as much should give them a clue. There are not many drivers who deserves a Championship as much as Kimi. It is Maclaren themselves who helped Kimi to lose championships and now they have done the same to Lewis and Alonso.

They should rather start thinking about next year, instead for worrying about something that has already been decided on track.
