oh common!!! stop it allready! you want the FIA to punnish those three and give Lewis the title. that won't happen no matter how much the author of this article wants it! i read 5 articles realted to the protest and the title and in every one of them you keep on pushing with "if they are disqualified, lewis wins!!"

face it, he blew it, despite FIA giving him the title on a silver plate! he lost it and is not getting in back this year! :p :p :p :p

Just what is Mosely's problem with McLaren? It is clear his mind is made up regardless. Not a good example.

Once again the President of the FIA has declared his total impartiality in judicial matters!

Isn't it ridiculous for the head of an 'impartial' body to prejudge the outcome of an appeal?

Hey, Max, they are protesting the result! It wasn't McLaren's duty to measure other's fuel temperatures! If some teams had benefited from an infraction the only fair penalty for all of the other teams in the race would be to disqualify them. How would you determine the exact place they would have finished? It is not just Mclaren that should be protesting. All of the teams were slighted by the violation of the rules. Why are the other teams allowing McLaren to take all of the heat? Shouldn't they also be protesting? :?

Mosley should remain silent - whatever his opinions - as the head of the body hearing the appeal. As a barrister, he knows well enough the power of prejudice.

Have you noticed how the sensible and balanced opinions favour the McLaren approach, and the histrionics all come from the Ferrari 'camp'? Interesting...

One thing now is totaly clear.
Mclaren-Mercedes has finally shown its true colours for all the world to see.
Mr.Dennis and Mr.Haug you should be ashamed of yourselves ,to say it politely.
Accusing Ferrari to try and win the title in court and then doing the same and far worse ! If this appeal would change the outcome of the championship ,which it won't than F1 is truly dead !

Under the rules, McLaren could protest the result of the race and appeal if their protest was rejected, but according to a 2005 appeal decision (Alfa Romeo/CSAI), a team cannot appeal a refusal to penalise another team if they did not lodge the original protest. McLaren's other problem is that the rules (Art. 6.5.5. Tech. Regs) speak of the temperature of the fuel "on board the car". No one measured that. They measured the temperature in the rig. The Appeal Court lawyers will look at the rule as written and ignore current practice. This is a legal question, not a Ferrari/McLaren issue.

FIA is a governing body for the Italian Mafia betting syndicate.
