He wants a team player.
What a joke. He needs to learn how to be a team player before requesting one.
If he had done his job as a rookie and assisted his team mate this year i would have some respect for him. All he thinks of however is himself.
Not great for a "TEAM PLAYER"
Pity the fool who joins him...

I think he means someone who isn't going to threaten to blackmail their team boss because they aren't getting their way. If he is quick enough (which he was), why should Hamilton have backed off? He led the championship for almost its entirety, so therefore Alonso technically should have supported him. I wouldn't have wanted to see that either though. The emphasis of Motor Racing is that it is 'racing'. Drivers shoud look after number one.

Ha Ha Ha! Is this website mainly populated by idiot Alonso fans!

Why should he have gone out to play second fiddle last season when he was plainly quicker than Alonso?

How can you say that he is not a team player? Didn't Alonso play a key role in the TEAM being investigatrd for spying? Didn't Alonso start accusing the TEAM of being against him? If ever i've seen a driver isolate himself from his own TEAM, it's that cowardly spanish sulking wimp. He went all out to ensure his position at McLaren was untenable, for one reason only:

HE WAS GETTING BEAT BY A YOUNG DRIVER IN HIS FIRST SEASON AND HE DIDN'T LIKE IT.

He should have stayed and fought a strong team-mate like a man.

Spot on DJ. Alonso will only be happy with a team mate who is not a threat to him. He has not got the stomach to fight like a true champion.

Anybody else notice that Hamilton's trio are all young guys (the most experienced of which has finished only his second season in F1.) If McLaren are going to develope another winning car next year surely they'll need a 2nd driver with more experience.

Also, how do people think Schumacher would have reacted if what happened to Alonso (i.e. rookie teammate shows him the way to go) happened to him?

think people want to stop making up what they think Alonso opinion is......

stop listening to the press, for example this country biggest paper yesterday wrote....Rosberg drivers for BMW

yet people believe press like that when they say negative things about anyone not just alonso

its all aload of rubbish. if lewis said that then he should be a bit careful cos he like alonso wasnt perfect this year. so dont throw stones really. like someone said someone like rosberg IF given equal car could beat him......then what would he do? who knows

I was sure the Alonso and Hamilton finished on the same points this year didn't they?
Or was that wrong?? I think that they both had their strong races (Alonso and Hamilton)
I wouldn't say that Hamilton was that much quicker. It a shame that it didn't work out but that how it goes. Now maybe with Alonso in another team we might have three teams that can win rather than just two

I think the priority for Mclaren is a quick race driver regardless of experience, they still have Pedro as dev driver don't they? Realistically any of the experienced drivers who are massively quick are going to be hard to obtain.

The Schumi question? Well that depends what the young driver joining him was like mentally, I mean it would be tough lining up against the guy oft referred to as the "best driver ever"(TM). I respect Hamilton as he showed how young drivers should act. People who say he should have dutyfully acted as No2 last season are clearly morons who were upset at their favourite driver being knocked off balance by a competitive team mate, and wimped out of the challenge.
