message to Calvin..
i like your style, spa has to be the best track in F1.
even though its been updated, its still got an old fashoned style track which cannot be seen on any other circuit on the F1 calender, spa has all the good points of all the other race tracks on calender all thrown into one!
i was gutted each time it was taken off the calender, but i hope it is here to stay now!

Silverstone is an awful circuit to drive on, I had a driving experence day out there and everybody, including people who worked commented on the bumpy, cracked surface, its *****.
To much is spent on reminicing (can't spell either)and not enough is spent using cash.
Perhaps Bernie could stump up sum cash, after all Silverstone made it for him, now is the time to pay some back, every heard of an investment?

Don't forget Spa, one of the all time great tracks. These new tracks have no character or atmosphere.

One thing is for sure,BE is not a giver.I wonder how long it will be before a new series is formed by the constructers and manufacturers, they made the threat a few years back.BE and the hangers on are bleeding our sport dry .No
Silverstone ,Australian in doubt ,there will be others countries that will soon fall by the wayside.A great great shame!
Even greater shame on The Troll ,our engineers, designers, race mechanics and personel are all over the globe in F1 and for the first time in a long while we have a driver who will win the championship and he has to put him down.Silverstone,Mallory Park,Brands Hatch etc, have been the breeding ground for nearly all the F1 champions over the years .

Anyone would think that he wats to buy Silverstone on the cheap given the number of times he's slagged it off.

And exactly how many Millions or Billions of £/$ has Bernie made on the back of British Motor Racing.
Is it not about time that Bernie put his legacy in place and put a couple of hundred milion in to the Silverston Eclestone centre and redeveloped the circuit as a thank you for all he has made.

C'mon Bernie, get your wallet out and build a legacy for yourself and all of British Motor Sport!

Mark - So all the taxes car driver pay get spent on our fabulous road system & all our national insurance is used for the health system - I think not - Try to generate a constructive debate in future. Lewis had better watch out, sounds like you have modelled yourself on Mark Chapman.

Bernie just admitt it, you do not want silverstone on the F1 calender anymore!
Either upgrade the track or move it to brands or somewhere?
Or are you trying to get the official Ferrari test track on the calender instead!
Bernie has been giving hints for years he does not like silverstone, i am not a big fan of the track myself, but i do not want to see the F1 circus not come to britain, there are loads of new circuits in the world now that F1 goes to, but these newer tracks are so boring!

This is not an easy one to sort out. BRDC don't have enough money to do the job because they have to pay so much to Bernie to run his circus at Silverstone. Of course the British GP must remain. Of course taxpayers money shouldn't be used, for what is a niche sport. It's not even cutting edge anymore with all the restrictions. Of course it isn't as good as some of the new tracks. It never will be unless it is totally torn down and rebuilt, and that's not going to happen. Bernie as a brit should be supporting the thing more, rather than slagging it off. But he can see getting more money elsewhere, so he slags it off, threatens to take the race elsewhere. Its only posturing before negotiations
