Really, who cares?
Fi has become nothing other than a ridiculous money making exercise for a few dwarf-like hangers on.
I don't any longer go and watch and I don't give a **** about the series.
Hold it in Mongolia for all I care - F1 long ceased to be a sport.

Dear Renault for ever,
It is important to recognize who gains the most by racing at Silverstone

The answer is clear - Lewis Hamilton
Most of the fans at Silverstone will be Lewis Hamilton fans
Lewis Hamilton will win the 2008 Silverstone GP
Lewis Hamilton will sell the most autobiographies at the 2008 Silverstone GP

No one comes to see Bernie Ecclestone!!

The solution to SAVE Silverstone is therefore very simple
Lewis should pay his Taxes in the UK
Lewis' Taxes should be used to save Silverstone
Lewis' Taxes can save Silverstone

Why is Lewis running away from the UK? :?
Why does Lewis not want to save Silverstong? :?
Is Lewis against the Rebuilding of Silverstone? :?

I think they should listen to the public and simply cough up no point asking the government it,s a traditional circuit like Monza and Spa it has history heritage especially in contrast to ultra modern tracks, and lastly it will pay for it,s self whilst remaining part of british racing history as an active circuit

Nothing Ecclestone says surprises me any more....if the UK facilities are so bad then ship the circus off to the money in the east and let it stay there...'cos that's all he cares about, money money money....he says he cares about racing...hahahahahahaha...only if it is earning him money....he don't care about anything but his wallet...how can a brit not support a GB grand prix.....it should be his prime target to always have a Brit GP...even if he has to chuck some of his millions in to secure it...after all he is right about one thing, we are the centre of F1

Just about every other country on the F1 calendar has help from the government to make their F1 track better, but the UK ( as always ) rests on its laurels and says it is the home of motorsport.
If India, China, Turkey can make state of the art tracks why can the UK not ? What about some lottery funding ? How about a concerted effort by the BRD to get their finger out of their **** and stop arguing about trival matters and get some proper corporate sponsorship for the track to help with its regeneration.

This is fixable but it seems there is no appetite for it from those that matter.

I agree that Brands is where it's at and so, for that very reason, I hope the GP never goes back there. Why? Because in order to hold a GP, the track would probably have to be sanitised (changing Paddock Hill bend perhaps) to make it F1 friendly.

Maybe Donington's an idea; surely they wouldn't ruin that?

Mark Lawrence/L Mark - What are you on? :?

This thread has nothing to do with Lewis Hamilton and where he wishes to live.

a) Why is Lewis running away from the UK? - It is pretty obvious why anybody with half a brain and the wherewithal would wish to escape the 'Big Brother' mentality of the UK's incompetent and money grabbing government - not just to pay less tax, it's about quality of life as well.
b) Why does Lewis not want to save Silverstone? - How do you know he doesn't?
c) Is Lewis against the rebuilding of Silverstone? - Who knows other than Lewis and who cares?

Why not ask Alastair Darling for a taxpayers' hand out as per Northern Rock? He's pretty free with our money!

I rarely find myself agreeing with Mr. E but I have to say I'd love to see the race moved to London.
