well let me put it this way, if it was Ferrari against Renault then there would be more serious consequences

F1 » Renault let off and gunning for McLaren.

Guilty but no charge, FIA sensationally decrees, as McLaren once again comes out worse against governing body.

It's really time to stop all this idiocy, backbiting and litigation. The World Council is patently incapable of acting consistently and should be replaced by an independent panel of judges that have no connection with motorsport. In addition ALL litigants and anyone connected with the FIA should be barred from speaking on matters that are sub-judice

actually, is this not exactly what happened to mclaren when they first appeared in front of the fia in july - they were in breach of article 151c but no penalty imposed. things then got nasty after the italian rep on the fia appealed. perhaps ron should get the msa rep on the fia to appeal on his behalf now.....

Just as I suspected. F1 is over for me. There is no way I can trust the FIA again.

Mclaren were punished because they lied. So far I have not seen anything to indicate Renault lied. Neither team was punished after the first hearing.

Seems fair to me. If Renault was to be punished for this, how is that fair given that Mclaren were let off in July?

Guess the 2008 McLaren will now be found to have used the same shade of red on it's car as Ferrari and as such Max and the WMC will find them to be guilty of using Ferrari technology and sentence Ron to death by *****..... This is nutz... :?
