Heikki would be making a big mistake by going to Mclaren. Heikki will never get the same treatment, resources or equipment compared to Hamilton. It would virtually be like commiting career suicide.

In either case, Mclaren cannot even gaurantee Heikki a race seat for 2008!
After all Mclaren may not even be racing in 2008! :p

Shall we wait and see how long it takes for Alonso to throw his toys out the pram when Piquet proves competitive. You will remember he ran hamilton v.close to the GP2 title?! glad to see him in f1 though but hope heikki finds a decent drive.

Rajiv, what are you talking about---Ron has put McLaren on the line about drivers getting equal cars---if you think Hamilton's team mate won't get a fair deal then you need to look at the facts. However, Nelsinho at Renault will not be allowed to take on FA (even IF he has the ability).

More---McLaren provide each driver with a car, a Race Engineer and a team of mechanics dedicated to that car. The two teams within Mclaren are in real competition with each other until it becomes obvious that one of the drivers has the upper hand towards the end of the season. Last year they both fought to the 'bitter' end.
Lewis and his squad will have to do the biz before any 'tactics' take over so his team-mate will, I am sure, start on an equal playing field.

Tim M,
Stop blindly believing the PR spin machine!

Equal cars does not mean equal strategy! What do you think triggered the pitlane mess in Hungary between Hamilton and Alonso? Alonso was protesting what Hamilton and Ron had cooked up for the fuel strategy!

Coulthard has said this on several occasions:

Heikki should try and get a testing role at Honda. Keep in mind that Rubens is nearing the end of his stay in F1. Heikki helped test and develop two championship winning cars at Renault. It would be a fantastic move to work under Ross Brawn for a year to develop a championship car for 2009. ;)

Tim M,
So what about Piquet? Championship winning Teams work as a TEAM!

Both racers know their role and play their part.

Just take a look at the racers mclaren has lost because of NO TEAM SPIRIT:
1) Coulthard - kept waiting for his chance while Mika was favoured.
2) Juan Pablo Montoya - so frustrated that he quit in the middle of the season.
3) Kimi Raikkonen - walked up to Jean Todt and said "When can I come race for Ferrari?"
4) Alonso - when a 2 time champion says the TEAM sucks. You better best believe that it sucks!

F1 is a team sport! The best Team won both championships in 2007! :)
