@grumpy_doctor
Mclaren stole and used Ferrari data to develop the 2007 and 2008 Mclaren race car.

The case between Mclaren and Renault had nothing to with Ferrari.

Why should Ferrari bother to make more comments on the immoral Mclaren team?

Mclaren made enough noise with their cheap and false press release. The same cheap press release that had ZERO facts in it and ended up working against them in the end.

The most interesting part was that Phil Mackereth is an ex-Mclaren employee. More proof of the unethical standards of Mclaren. Good thing Renault removed this Mclaren weed quickly.

What speaks volumes about Mclaren is that Mike Couglhan is STILL a mclaren employee!

Oh!! how sweet!! he was so innocent, just took all the McLaren tec data to show Reggie how superior they are. Bless him, what a lovely thought, and the nasty McClaren people thought Reggie would be interested in a winning car when they had a fat turkey to race: how unbelievable!! It's a good job the Ferrari Is About to win annother championship (FIA) will be looking at every detail of the 2008 Reggiemobile to ensure no McLaren 'ideas' are on it. Whats that? the FIA are not looking at the 2008 Reggie??!!, there must be some misunderstanding, Max is commited to fairness in all things, well a few things, well perhaps not all that many things; but listen, Max is sure Ferrari won in '08 fairly

Renault's info on McLaren was for last year's car. McLaren's info on Ferrari is for this year's car. So Renault is not in the same league with McCheaters...

Yes, but then didn't Alonso win a championship with an illegal car?
[If the 2006 Renault was illegal] - the points must be zero and $100 million fine.

Shouldn't it be handed to Schumacher then if this is the case? Schumacher is then 8 times champion. Honestly, I am surprised at Ferrari not caring they lost in 2006 to a cheating team!

Before posting a message about Renault's role in Spygate, it's a good idea to read the transcript of the hearing which is widely available on the web.

This makes it clear that Renault engineers saw only four drawings, a fuel system schematic, a gearbox layout and two drawings of an unnamed component. Renault's fuel system is completely different to McLaren's; their gearbox was designed before Mackereth arrived and has not changed, while Renault buys the "component" from an outside supplier.

Renault used the component drawings to raise a query with the FIA, just like McLaren about the Ferrari floor. McLaren also got no penalty at the first hearing despite using Ferrari IP to raise a query.
