"My fear is having a bad year and fighting for eighth position with no motivation," MS was 100% motivated even when Ferrari didnt work!

talk a bout a spoilt daddy s boy - wtf???

Also , last year wasnt Alonso vs Hamilton , it was Dennis vs Alonso, Hamilton just took advantage - although he choked in the end

but Michael Schumacher was never fighting for only an 8th place finish on a regular basis, he was still fighting for Podiums, thats what Alonso was talking about!

IT s not ALonso talking, its Piquet. Someone who s a newcomer to f1 and hasnt proved sh1t should be grateful and feel motivated regardless of where his car is

To chu chu:

The Spaniard admitted that he had thought twice before re-committing to Renault, but was swayed by the amount of time that had been spent developing the 2008 machine.

"My fear is having a bad year and fighting for eighth position with no motivation," he confessed, "It is important to get up and fight for podiums and good results to keep motivated and push forward."

Might want to check a bit more carefully.

Most of us are anxiously waiting for the unveiling and testing of the new Renault R28, and also to some extent the new Honda.
With Alonso at Renault it can be expected that some major development has been made, and with Ross Brawn at Honda, this outfit is also expected to show some tangible results.
With Toyota promising the earth for this year, Honda has to improve. It's a matter of national pride or otherwise Harikari will be suggested to either one or the other of these two teams.
As a matter of interest this year we shall have: 6 Ferrari, 4 Toyota, 4 Honda, 4 Renault, 2 BMW and 2 Mercedes powered cars on the track.
It's all boiling down to chassis design, reliability & drivers hunger

I would love to see Renault and Honda do bad this year and see Toyota do good, just because that would go against most people's predictions. It would make for a more exciting F1 season.

I'd say Honda could never do worst that last year. And Renault wasn't any good either. Both teams reached the worst point for teams this caliber, and from there, the only way is up.
Guess the same can be applied to Toyota, though I am not sure if they got the required talent to take the best financed team to the highest level.
