Hi my name is Ken the troll and i will now be using the name below. I am that thick that i forgot to mention that in 2006 F1 season there was more overtaking manoeuvres at the silverstone circuit than any other grand-prix that year. But we are here to moan about the buildings being out of date, being true F1 fans we want to look at buildings all day not great racing duh. Sorry got to go now mummy is going to turn my light off.

I would agree Catalunya is an awful track because of the amount of testing done there. In 1998 i put a bet in February on the Mclarens winning the Spanish Gp because they were quick there... paid out :)

i think they might take out catalunya due to the fact that it is the most boring race in the world and they made it even more boring by adding a chicane that they did not need. what is the point of building a new track?

f1 would be way more exciting if it was somewhere no one would expect.
by the way, anyone know if f1 are going back to USA in 2009? if it is, where?
detrit?las vegas?daytona?

I dont know why this is considered news. Bernie has already said that no country will have more than 1 race. Oh... wait a minute. Doesnt Spain have two?

Dig at Bernie aside, why does Spain need ANOTHER track? Its not going to be used by f1 anyway.

chu chu i agree with you there, you hit the nail on the head, silverstone is crap but its toilet facilities are good, yet the other tracks you mentioned i have been to aswell and its just portaloo city for the toilets, not good!
Yet i do not want to see britain lose the F1 grand prix, yet i think other tracks in england should be considered as an option!
If you ask me, i think Bernie just doesn't like silverstone full stop, and proberly does not care if the uk holds a future F1 slot!
He is more interested in keeping his pocket lined with money!
Looks like boring new F1 tracks from now on!
Well i do hope Spa in belgium will keep its place on the F1 calender!
I hope the uk keeps F1 slot

Silverstone sucks, facility wise, that s no secret. I dont like the layout either, but that s just me. Brit tracks usually have awesome layouts, surrounded by cheap od useless facilities, Why that happens is beyond me. Mallory, Donington,Oulton etc , all great tracks but with ****** facilities. Brands ...

Tracks in Spain are not built for f1 , luckily. Up til a few years ago, it was bike racing that played the bigger role there.

It would be nice to see a drawing of the track. If it's like his others wich they all seem to be very similar and the format predictable what's the use of another especially in Spain. I can't wait until Alonso retires and then let's see how many people go to F1 races in Spain. Mean while Britain, Canada, Germany, Australia and more classic tracks to follow soon will be thrown on the F1 white elephant scrap heap. It still flabogasts me that the unappreciative Spanish are getting two GP's and most of the testing this year while the countries I listed above are on the verge of losing their races. It's not easy being a happy F1 fan these days unless your spanish.
