F1 » Webber blames media for racism storm

I agree with Mark Webber, all the media have used this as sales and not given it the exposure it needs. It has been blown all out of proportion, after reading other reports, Crash.net have been one of the main perps.

I mean, when was F1 'gripped by racism'. The only people 'gripping' the subject is the media. They are milking it like there's no tomorrow. The rest of the world (real people) would just have been disgusted and demand that it never happens again, then move on...
but here I am.....writing this message about it. I wish they could let it go.

And i'm sure Mark and the rest of the drivers etc are sure as hell sick of answering the same questions over and over!

Do you think Webber's so bothered by this because the press aren't talking about him?

The Hamilton Haters Club(tm) go on about LH having to have a view on every subject. Seems Webber's just as bad, let's see if we get a torrent of abuse wishing he would shut up!!!

Personally, if one of them's got something to say, let's hear it!!

the whole thing was whipped into a frenzy by the media, including The Sun trying to make out that a spanish banner was racist when all it said was that Hamilton has a big mouth and talks too much.

media like The Sun, Daily Mail etc are a major part of the problems with this country and now a major problem with F1.

Why is this guy always running his mouth. He should focus on the driving and maybe he wouldn't suck so much. Has he ever even gotten a podium. The press milks EVERY story, not just this one. This story is getting the same treatment as the the Alonso / Hamilton rift. Mark is pissed because HE SUCKS. If anything, this story should get lots of press time because it's a moral issue, not just about some dumb racers arguing or about some dumb car company cheating. Racism actually matters, all the other gossip does not.

Is it me or does Mark Webber have an opinion on everything except what he himself has done behind the wheel of an F1 car? It seems that way anyway, It's time the media stopped giving a XXXX (sorry, couldn't help it) about Sir Mark of Overrated. As for the racism storm, Don't get mad, get even! British fans at Silverstone this year should all buy one of those dummys babies suck and put them in everytime Alonso steps out of the garage at the British GP,

u cant respond abuse with more abuse, if u do- dont complain about it happening to lewis. or u are just as bad, plus we dont want the british GP full of idiots, it should be a family event.

Everything Mark Webber has said has been correct, as usual he is spot on. and not afraid to say it. which is great.
