well the first night race is going to be a moment in f1 history. but talk about overkill, two night races, ok, but 4 or 5 out of the 6 races in the east. i dont know about other countries in europe, but all the early morning races are still shown during the day anyway, so will it truly make that much of a difference if theyre all held at night?

and like oz says, gotta make sure the 1st one is ok.

Being used to watching most of the races at 5:00 AM on this side of the pond I actually prefer it. The wife and kids are not distracing me and the whole day is just begining when the race is done. I actually kind of dread watching a race in the middle of the day.

Well said OZ VELLY and thanks Mark your a true fan!
It's a bit sad to hear Mark Webber bowing to big boss BE on this one. There are couple of things to consider here. Will it work at night for starters? What happens if the lights go out for what ever reason? Should the cars be fitted with a light sensing device at the night races so if they do go out the engines stop immediately once the luminant levels drop below a certain point. It's really not fair that BE is putting pressure on Australia until the first night race is run. If it does work there is obviously a cost issue shouldn't BE or FIA put their hands in their pockets and subsidise the cost or part of the cost to install them.

Unless they are purpose built circuits i think there will be too many issues with lighting, shadows from building and so on. Its one thing to light up 13 corners but 5km of circuit! I think its an accident waiting to happen. Cars doing 300kph with little to no lighting. But i would love to see the flames out the exhaust and the brakes glowing if they weren't covered. With ya Mark on the different times, here in OZ it doesn't feel like a real GP if its not late on a Sunday night. True fans watch no matter what time its on!

So can Bernie make Morning races for the Brazilian and Canadian GP so that people in Asia can watch it at a better time instead of 1am in the morning? Push the race start time to 9am so that Asia gets their races at 9pm!
