"Lewis has many prizes but no titles in F1, he had his chance last year when he was sitting in the best car, but still Ferrari won"- Wille Webber, MS'' manager.

Some of us having been saying this all along, but the powers that be created such a huge hype about LH that left him no margin to manouver in. He either wins the title this year or his downfall will be greater than Humpty Dumpty''s. Until then he is just a chauffer like the rest.

Michael was not just a good driver, he was the most technical driver F1 had seen for many years, he was fully committed and fully dedicated towards the sport and Ferrari,
and on the race track he was a dominating power.

F1 » Hamilton is no Schumi, claims manager

Lewis may be good, Weber acknowledges, but Michael was truly great.

Says he who got rich on the back of others!!!!!!

Only time will tell. Certainly Schummi was special, but there''s no way of knowing at such an early stage in LH''s career whether or not he''ll be as good (or as bad) as schummi.

MS was not that special! MS was surely giving the number one status at Ferrari! RB was a fool to let that nonsense continue for ye**** We will never know what it would have been like if Ferrari would have put as much effort into a two car team and not always for MS. Formula one has lost its edge years ago when someone thought it was so great to have the engineers and the computers control everything. The driver just has to sit in it and steer, brake and give it some gas! At the same time they are making millions and complain like a hungry child! Sad!

Where is the evidence that McLaren was the best car over the season? Weber is forgetting that the double world champion was racing in the same car as well. Why will Hamiltons downfall be worse than Humpty Dumpty if he doesn't win the WDC this season? Raikkonen was in McLaren for 5 years and didn't win the WDC. What if Ferrari is the better car-is that Hamiltons fault?. :?

What did Schumacher do in his 1st season??? I only remember him frying a clutch in a Jordan :-o, Lewis has gone head to head with Alonso and matched him fair and square, he even took the fight to the superior Ferraris on certain circuits.
In his 1st season he won 4 races and set 6 poles, that is astonishing for a rookie in any race series.
Schumacher was good but he is nowhere near great.
Irvine & Barrichello were'nt allowed to race him at Ferrari and when he did come up against people in equal or better cars he lost, Hakkinen twice, Hill & Villeneuve or he rammed them off the road (JV in Japan Hill in Adelaide).
If you are looking for Great then look no further than Ayrton Senna RIP.

LH certainly accomplish more than any rookie in F1 and that by itself is an astonishment. We cant compare a retired race driver with many chances to win those 7 titles to a rookie who is going into his second season fairly. LH is young, and promising. Only time will tell if LH is as great as MS, or better. Comparing the 2 are like apples to oranges right now.

Lewis need never win a championship to be a better driver than TGF. If lewis does not turn into other drivers and does not have to have his team mates trodden on and kept behind him Lewis will be head and shoulders above Schumacher.

@Jon
You seem to forget that Senna's callousness pushed him over the fairness line too – don't forget 1990. Speaking of Irvine; he (long after he left Ferrari) in couple of interviews mentioned that Schumi was the fastest F1 pilot he has ever seen bar none. As far as Barrichello he was simply not in the same class as many others.
