craig, german TV commentators stated that the yellow flag was only for the pit lane. it was placed at entrance to pitlane and there was no prior yellow flag. james allen must have missed this, hoping that lulu would be moved to front row. great for BMW, now a force to be reckoned with.

congratulations Robert great pole lap, but I can't help but think if it had been a silver car that had been fastest when there was a waved yellow flag they would of been sent to the back of the grid. I'm not that synical but I just hop Ferrari International Assistance rembers today the next time this happens.

That's interesting. If there was really a yellow flag being waved when the first five cars were still doing their flying laps, then they all can be thrown back five places, not just Robert.
That would provide a very interesting grid with Nick Heidfeld on pole, but that's only wishful thinking.

This just proves how stupid the current F1 qualifying system is! No one in the top 10 went faster, or even as fast as they MUST OF DONE to get into the last 10.

If you look at the times the pole time was only good enough for 16th in the other sessions.
