I still cannot see FA going to Ferrari if he won't be defacto number one driver. He'll be in a similar or worse position than if he had remained at McLaren.

F1 » Mateschitz hints Alonso Ferrari deal is done

Alonso wanted to come with us, Red Bull magnate asserts, but he then wanted to go elsewhere in 2009...

He just has a little problem with logical thinking, and may have a secret crush on me. That's all. Can't blame a silly boy for that.

There's no doubting Alonso's talent and to be fair whatever way you look at last year's debacle his reputation is somewhat tarnished but what happens if Massa wins the title in 2008?

Why the hell would Ferrari sign Alonso when Massa is able to produce and more importantly Ferrari will have a balanced paddock in terms of team dynamics and driver egos. Massa and Kimi keep everything in house. Nothing filters out to the media. We assume they have a solid relationship but really it is an unknown to the masses outside of Ferrari. Does Ferrari really want to introduce a possible powderkeg into the mix esp. if Kimi wins the title in 2008 and is the clear #1?

I once had a crush on you too. You could have had it all, a WC, new 3yr contract, pick of the pit crews - but Fernando, you blew it all when you rejected me! Thats why I had to give Lewis all the best new parts...

I love you too Ron. I will try to get a gainful employment in DTM with half Schumi next year. Nobody loves me anymore, nobody with one notible exception of my silly boy chu chu, but all he can offer me is a toy train, and some fringe benefits that I will not disclose in this forum.

"Try to tell Luca Di that team concept and winning WDC is an opposite concept"

Idiocy at it s best. From the racer s point of view i meant. Obviously the team s owner wants a 1-2 every weekend. But fior the racer, the further back your teammate is, the better.

A winner must be selfish - like Rossi, is. like MS was, like Senna and Alonso. First guy you want to beat is your teammate And if u can get better treatment than him , that s what every racer likes.
If u think any racer wouldnt like oreference over his teammate why dio you think MS demanded that on his contracts with Ferrari?

If Kovalainen had been brought to McLaren last year with equal status, Alonso would have been world Champion. Lewis got such special treatment from RD, it undermined Alonso.
The formula1 website has a video of Lewis pushing one car off at a corner, punting Piquet in the transmission where it damages his own wing (Piquet retired on lap 6 with transmission troubles), the wing upper segment flies off and two corners later Lewis runs into back of Alonso, who was on the far left side of the track. It was only after Lewis hit him did Alonso move over. Lewis is like a bull in a china shop if the course marshals aren't waving blue move over flags at drivers in front of him.

The possible outcome would be that KR wins the championship and retires (which is something he has hinted at) FA then takes his place along side Massa i.e if Massa shows a strong second. FA is a great racer if given a decent car, ask MS

I fail to see any hint from Mateschitz about a Ferrari deal!
I only read that Alonso has plans for 2009, but without any mention of a specific team.
Maybe he is committed with the Spanish A1GP team :)
