I still cannot see FA going to Ferrari if he won't be defacto number one driver. He'll be in a similar or worse position than if he had remained at McLaren.

So what if Fernando does go to Ferrari? If he does? then good luck and all the best to him, drivers change teams all the time, nothing new there!
It has been known in the past for some drivers to change teams mid season.
Team orders will not be a problem as they are not allowed to be used any more!
They may come into use or an agreement between driver and team if its mathematicly impossible for the driver to catch his team mate up on points?
That should not bother Fernando, as long as he is treated fair and gets 50/50 treatment then all should be ok!
What happend at McLaren is now in the past, and wait and see if there will be an anouncement in the near future on Fernandos future!

Lulu I adore you, but you must know that chu chu surreptitiously worships you. The harebrained schoolboy abhors RD; perhaps because you were not responding to his sobs for affection.

"From the racer s point of view i meant. Obviously the team s owner wants a 1-2 every weekend. But fior the racer, the further back your teammate is, the better."

Chu chu my silly lad tries to reason. But what good analysis is if a monkey swinging from a tree can outwit you.

@Joseph

Voice of reason - since the headline is not really supported by article.

Ferrari needs a second RELIABLE driver, someone that can finish most of the races in any situation, within points to be able to win the Manufacturers championship. So is Alonso. Massa failed at that and is able to make very good races (his favourite ones) but is not reliable enough to help ferrari to score points for the championship.
If Alonso goes to Ferrari, with KR as partner, Ferrari will be leader for some ye****

Fernando is untouchable by any of the big three. He'll be driving for a lesser outfit next year if at all.

Kind of funny him saying this since RBR seems to be faster than the Renault team again this year. If the results stay this disappointing for Renault team, then expect them to focus on the '09 car and stop developing the '08. RBR on the other hand are more interested in their brand being up the front and leapfrogging teams like Williams and Toyota will become a possibility, therefore they will continue to develop their car.
