I wouldn't call it sour grapes, Webber has been in the wrong car at the wrong time right thru his F1 career. Seems that he is consistently faster than the other Renault engined cars, and prior to F1 he was a frequent race winner. To be fair he is overdue for a luck change.

F1 » Webber: We have two drivers, they have one

Outspoken Aussie questions whether immediate competitors will prove capable of progressing as quickly as RBR.

I didn't think Webber would go this low, to dismiss two fellow professionals after only three races. By the way Mark, all they need is a podium or two and they've achieved exactly the same as you in F1 :-o There's speaking your mind, and there's being a rude ****, and Webber is definitely the latter. Maybe if he shut his mouth, the results might come :? he needs some good karma maybe?

Mark is right and I have said it all along, the RBR will continue to develop their car much like they did last year when it was very strong in the last few races. This years Red Bull is the best F1 car Mark has had the opportunity to race and we will hopefully see some top point scoring results maybe even a podium or two.

Webber has been quite possibly the unluckiest F1 driver of the past 20 odd years. He has proven time and again to be a very quick qualifier. He regularly has been heading for points to have the car fail. He has a DNF ratio of over 50% as stated by Brundle last year. But he also stated that less than 10% were for crashes.

His biggest regret would surely be going to Williams and not Renault as Briotore had asked. He may not have beaten Fernando to become champion, but he would have several wins on the board.

Both DC & Webber are very capable of developing a car. This is the point that Mark is making. Therefore the RBR should get developed to its potential sooner. Will it be enough though?

One reasonable F1 driver, and perhaps a good test driver in the name of DC.

To be fair, Webber has had it hard in F1 and luck has not been on his side, but for DC, it is time for him to move on, he is nothing better than an irate Saturday night pizza delivery driver.

webber is a very quick and consistant driver. if he was in a quick car he would be fighting at the front. i agree that coulthard is just an old fart that is a waste of time, money and space but rbr can definitely develop a car to catch williams and they have already passed renault

mark, i agree with you to a point, but the aim of most teams is to gain CC points. pretty useless to have a well developed car and get no points. better to have a a couple of young, hotshoes, who will push to gain points. better still to have a developed car AND two hotshoes!
henry, i think piquet has got the job because of who his father is. there are plenty of faster drivers around who would love the F1 seat.

I think what he was talking about was gaining an edge in car development, not in scoring points. DC and he are more capable than R and W in that respect as they have 2 experienced drivers. Agree DC needs to finish races if RBR are to R and W in the points battle.

i gotta say i kinda agree with mark that renault and williams only have 1 driver, but so far this season coulthard hasnt done a lot apart from crash really so, having said that i dont think RBR will be able to overhaul williams, rosberg is way to good in a car that probably has an edge on the red bull and i would trust nakajima to develop into a much better driver than piquet who tbh looks even more shoddy and at sea than kovalinen did last year around the same time, but we shall see, he did well in gp2 but i cant see renaults car going anywhere fast, even in the hands of alonso, tbh its worse than last years car, fisichella was right

RBR in my mind does have one of the top designers in F1 and that is Adrian Newey.
In the right team and backing he can create a very good car, lets hope he can do the same wonders as what he did back in his Williams and McLaren days!

must be a quiet news day for crash.net to throw in an utterance from webber. i like red bull but to score points they must get BOTH cars to finish well. DC does not have a very good record at that! weber likes to oversell his capabilities. no harm in that , i suppose, but be realistic! red bull are known for promoting younger drivers and really they need two young hotshoes driving, before they can have a realistic chance of good results. good luck to them anyway!
