His move on Button was no different to the move Shue made on Hill Adelaide 1994.
Drivers have this impulsive reaction to block when they feel iminent threat and you and I will never know the pressure these guys are under during intense racing, so lets give them a break. It was a racing incident. Yes DC did block, but JB went in very late and would probably have understeered into him anyway. If anyone had been to blame, the stewards would have taken action.
DC is very good at making his car very wide. Anyone trying to pass will become very frustrated and end up making a do or die effort to pass. This is why DC gets involved in incidents. He's guilty of being a good blocker, not a crasher.

DC, its simple really. if you do not want to be labelled as a "crasher", then don''t keep turning into faster cars/drivers. just look in your mirrors now and again.

David Coulthard has had his time, he should retire and let a younger drive have a chance.

When Loise Goodman asked him in Melbourne if he 'knew Massa was there' before the crash, DC immediately said "of course I did". I remember it. So what's he harping on about visibility for? He just didn't want to get out of the way, and it made no sense.

Fill his drink bottle with hot tea and put a blanky on his knees. He's sounding old and whingy to me. Give it up Davo and give a young fella a go. As a fan thanks for the entertainment over the last 13 years. Please bow out gracefully before it's to late as it's sad to see professional sportsmen not knowing or realising when it's time to stop. Take a leaf out of Michael Schumacher's book.

It's funny how all of these "collisions people are arguing about" involve him. Where's the common thread DC?

demon. you are right , DC is a blocker, but there is a difference between blocking when your rival is behind you, and turning in when your rival is alongside. most of DCs "blocks" result in crashes. yes DC, you can try to prevent anyone passing you by taking your line but dont send racecars to the scrapyard

Quit crashing people and we will stop calling you a crasher DC.. If you call him a good blocker that is the same as calling him a crasher. When there is a big enough speed differential the stewerds should issue a warning. Holding your ground is one thing but saying you saw him and still turned in on your opponent is just bad driving.

DC kind of reminds me of Paul Tracy in Champcar. They are both getting to the end of their careers and seem to be involved in more of these type of incidents than they did when they were in their prime. It seems that they feel entitled to do what they want and seldom admit to an error. At this point they are desperate to keep a race seat and are driving like they are still a contender.

Demon, the Button incident cant EVER be classed as "good blocking"

What happened to the old driver agreement of not moving in the braking zone? Jenson was committed and into the braking zone, THEN DC moved across. I class that as a racing incident, but it could have been avoided.
