"as we now see in F1 even the best from the now defunct CHAMP series SB is not a front runner"

Give him a break, it's not exactly a front running car, few drivers would do any better.

Rahal would be a better option over the Danica/Marco idea. Marco has shown no real signs of being a top flight driver. He and Danica are in some of the best equipment on the grid and their finishes rarely show that. Marco fails to finish most races oval or road. Rahal had Seb as a mentor and Newman Haas for direction. He is my pick to head to F1 if a ride is even available.

Yeah, HK was consistently slow...

I think it's hard to judge her F1 potential when all we've seen her in is IRL which is worlds apart from F1. It's not a good sign that she seems to struggle on the road courses, but there's a huge difference between an IRL car on a road course and an F1 car on a road course. Would be cool to see her in something a bit more driveable than an IRL car. Might actually suit her better. Plus a racing seat in F1 will be very tough to get. There's already talk of Marco replacing RB @ Honda, but I really think she's shown more promise than him in spite of a couple of setbacks. I personally wouldn't hire her without doing lots and lots of testing and evaluation.

You're right he isn't in a front running car but I was referring more to his inconsistency and driving errors than his race results. No doubt he will improve with more experience but I think people like HK were more consistent when they first came into F1.

I would have to agree with NP. Danica is no doubt a talented driver but she's not the best in the current series and as we now see in F1 even the best from the now defunct CHAMP series SB is not a front runner in the world's premier motor sport class. I wish her well as I would like to see a female driver in F1 in the future.

“No brakes, no corners, no nothing.”

When did Piquet last watch an IRL race... Around half the caladener is made of circuits and street circuits.

However he probably has a point that as talented as Patrick is she probably is not quite good enough to race in F1. Although she would bring so much publicity I wouldn't be surprised if someone signs her. I still think Rahal has the most potential though.

At the end of the day IRL is a national series, albeit a large nation that attracts drivers from all over the world, but there is obviously more competition when you move into the world stage, and your up against a much larger pool of drivers from many different series.
