Alonso suffers because he is honest and a bit naive with the press. i also think we(english) forget the language difference. which is why Kimi comes across dull and lacking interest and alonso sometimes annoyed. Its becuase they arent that great at english most of the time- and dont want to speak it, like i wouldnt want to speak spanish.

Plus alonso just said it would be silly not to consider a winning car in 09, he never said '' i want to go to ferrari'' he just said there are options, which is why he singed the contract he did.

he should stay where he is, if he can win another title in the renault (that was a dog the moment he left) he would be easily in the top 10 of all time

F1 » Alonso: Don't call me indifferent

I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't, Spaniard claims of media interpretation of his remarks.

Racing drivers live to go fast and to win. The great drivers do not only want to win, they need to win and the failure to have the means to do so, a fast reliable car, makes their life a misery.

FA is of those very fast drivers with fantastic feel of the cars he drives.
He told Renault about the situation of their car from the first test in January.
It is unwise to tell your principals what they want to hear, feedback should always be 100% accurate even if it shocks them to the reality that they have a bad car.
I do not call this indefference, its being realistic.

I have no doubt that this year it's Ferrari's year, but in 2009 FA will be challenging again for the WDC. We'll see.

it is interesting to see that alonso has now been credited with improving renault by 0.3 secs. his detractors wont like that. they moaned about the claim that he had improved mclaren. so i hope that his knockers will now accept that he is a loss to mclaren

I agree with you Richard.
Just look at the present situation, Mclaren looks on the downfall while Renault looks to be slowly resurfacing. Who is responsible for that, surely not 100% Alonso, but he surely is no stranger to that situation either.
