Even with the old 107% rule they would easily make it into the races. As long as they are not being shown the blue flag they have every right to stay on the racing line. DC is just trying to take the attention off of his terrible season. He really should shut up. DC better be careful who he offends with his name calling as next year he could be lucky to get any ride, even a SA.

Maybe next year Davidson will get DC's seat. That would be rich.

F1 » Angry Davidson tells rivals to 'shut up'

I'd love to swap cars, Briton asserts, admitting Super Aguri's '08 machine is a 'botched job'.

Eventually all the brits sercome to the whinge it's a bred trait that can't be changed(maybe the weather). For once they are whinging about each other and DC has a point though as the Super Aguri guys do hamper many of the better cars and drivers by their antic's on the track.More so Sato than Davidson though & by what Anthony is saying the cars are certainly dogs to drive. That is no excuse though and to me he has put his foot in his mouth with his comments. With the current F1 cars it's hard enough to overtake with a good car so considering these guys have to respect the better cars & get out of the way for the sake of the sport and the fans.Frustation is getting to him a sign of weakness.

personally I've never rated AD I think his ambition far exceeds his talent, he seems to spend quite a bit of time having incidents ,although granted not all of his making.
I do remember as a test driver he was often setting faster times than JB( another driver who flatters to deceive I feel )but being quick in testing and being handy in a race situation are a world apart....an obvious comparison would be Pedro de la rosa, very technical and good at setups but always fell short in a race, actually thinking about it I think Alex Wurz was similar albeit his 1st season at Benetton he was quick but a bit accident-prone I seem to recall :?

Well Said AD!

Some drivers do not appriciate the cars that they have.

Getting past back markers is part of any motorsports, and at all levels

Davidson should stfu himself. His job requires hom to move off the line when he s getting lapped. if he cant do that then he should just not accept the job or leave.

There is no-one to buy SAF1 - they need to fund additional capacity to build a chassis, the sport is unappealing as a business prospect (thanks Max) and there frankly isn't as much money out there. Also, STR are in the market and they have more capacity currently, so would be a first-choice buy.

Taku won't go back to Honda to relace Reubens - SAF1 was largely created to get Taku out and make way for Reubens in the first place. Taku has peaked, and doesn't fit the Brawn vision: but AD might, as he has a lot of car development experience and good relationships with team engineers at Honda. There is no guarantee Reubens will retire at the end of this year, but I think it likely.

I think Taku has developed a lot since his Jordan-smashing days and I would hate to see him leave! I realise that there are not many seats available - his best shot is probably taking Barrichello's seat @ Honda - but I do hope someone sees the value of having such a fighter, motivator and overall enthusiastic and positive driver in your team. He can definitely be quick, he's had the upper hand on Davidson and he'll always give it all he's got!

Mark, SAF1 has a going team to sell. It is not easy to enter F1 as a newcomer: remember the Prodrive saga of some months back?
F1 is the most technologically advanced, high budget, top expertise motorsport.
If these requirements are not all met then cars like the SA's will be unsafe and may place other drivers health in jeopardy.
The Japanese should close the book on Sato once and for all and as I suggested SAF1 should sell the team. They are already in heavy debt ($60M just to Honda) and do not have steady sponsors.
Davidson deserves a better drive, maybe he could be in a Toro Rosso next year, if Coulthard retires from Red Bull.

I have sympathy for Davidson and SA and wish them the best of luck because he is a cracking little driver but I don't agree with the assesment that he's better than Button or Webber, As Greg pointed out Davidson was beaten by Webber in the Minardi and also by Button in the only race he participated in (Malaysia 2005), but still I wouldn't say Coulthard was better though! DC needs to shut and and stop crashing each race he's in! The end is nigh for SA but it's also true for DC!
