yamaha r1 - you are correct that SA were in trouble already. Assuming the deal with magma was real and not a ploy by Fry to break SA, it did not fall apart until after Max's scandal broke. Remember he was asked not to attend the GP in Bahrain. That part of the world is much more conservative than the west. It may have been the straw that broke the camels back. I too am biker, although I prefer the dirt.

Since you appear to detest F1 so much you should be cheering its demise.

BTW what is a plank? We don't use that one on this side of the pond.

I like F1. That does not mean I take every opportunity to tell bike racing fans how crap their fav form of racing is. But that's just me.

Alonso4ever you are a fool.
"Goodbye and good riddance got rid of another 2 rubbish drivers with nothing to offer and as a Alonso and Reault fan i say F1 needs more Spaniards poor Fernando is fighting all on his own whilst we have 4 English idiots thinking their it"

How do you think any more spanish drivers will make it to formula one when it seems all the independant teams are forced out?

Customer cars would have been a good idea, we would have 24 cars on the grid this year (i include podrive). Now we have 20, with the possibility of 18 in the next few years if the sale of STR is unsuccessful.

Audi, VW and porsche aren't interested in entering the championshp
Its not looking good is it.

As my name suggests I have been fortunate enough to witness the professionalism of many of the staff at Super Aguri.Anyone who feels that they were second rate is only right in one perspective - budget. The team is full of talented committed racers who know their game better than "univesity spit outs" that fill most of the F1 Teams today. How else do you get such a massive project moving in 100 days, you have to have experienced members of staff who know what proper racing is about.Shame on all of you who do not support this team. They show a spirit to admire &have been unjustly punished for embarrasing Nick Fry and Honda. It is about time the air & money was cut from the leech that is HRF1

Paul P

You will be surprised at how little can bring down a business. In general 80% of all new businesses that are created this year usually fold within 5 years, with the main cause simply being bad financial planning for not forecasting effectively when there maybe dips in revenue coming into the business to meet the bills of creditors. The SS United deal while I had hoped it would have made them competitive just stank in my opinion and to me seemed to just use Super Aguri for some free exposure. Paul While I am shocked to hear that Super Aguri might have had somone who had no commerical experience it is practically suicide to have that. You should have (if the budget allows) around...

Within 3 years Toyota will be gone and Lexus will have been brought in to run the Williams team. STR will already be gone or sold by that point, meaning that Red Bull will be the only non-manufacturer left. Perhaps we will see a new Manufacturer come in, but its unlikely.

As for having 3 or 4 car teams - lets look at 2002 for an example.

Ferrari would have been 1-2-3-4 in at least 3 races, and probably taken podium clean sweeps in 7. Who the hell wants that?

(Not an anti-ferrari jibe, look at 1988 - Mclaren 1-2-3 in about 7 races.....)

Continued from earlier.

10-15 people who have proven experience to find the sponsorship and raise the capital to remain in Formula 1 for 3-5 years and possibly even attract Blue chip companies. If you read Sir Jackie Stewart's autobiography he went into considerable detail explaining the lengths that both he and his son Paul went to gain sponsorship for Stewart Grand Prix to race in 1997. and I think they could have learned from him there.
