F1 refugee claims Massa will not be permitted to fight for this year's world drivers' laurels, even if he continues to out-perform team-mate Raikkonen.

i doubt if ralfs opinion counts for much. he is unlikely to know what goes on in ferrari unless MS has told him something. i like crash.net calling him a "DTM star"! his performances so far have not been notable

Ralf you are an IDIOT! Ferrari will back whomever shows the most potential, if Massa wins the next race all eyes will be on him clinching the championship and all talk of him being dismissed will vaporize. Ferrari cares about only one thing i.e. to win races and the constructors championship, whomever it is that can do it for them will do.

Ralf, what do you know? Ferrari policy has changed since Kimi arrived because his contract mandated it, i.e. there is no longer a number 1 or 2 driver. They have admitted that they will favour a driver if it becomes impossible for the other to win the title and that was evident last year, so no reason to believe they are not true to their word. Anyway, you should speak. You were number 1 at Toyota for 3 years and earned $20M a year, and all you did was hold the team back since they relied mainly on your input. Since you have left the team Trulli has shown the way to improvement! So just shut up as your opinion is a joke.

'Ralf Who'... 'since you ( Ralf ) left, Trulli has shown the way to to improvement'.. hmmmm, forgive me for not being entirely comvinced by that statement. I've seen the 'odd' season of seeming improvement, at Toyota, only for it to to be revelaed as little more than a low fuel qualifying success. They need a big hitting quality driver that can demand appropriate development, and use, of the vast resources at hand at Toyota. Glock I don't see as anything other than a stop gap and Trulli, for all his seasons there, has done what exactly ?? I'd love to be more positive but it's a little too hard to be in Toyotas circumstance.

Dean Dean... I understand that Toyota is not competing with Ferrari and McLaren but don't forget that it is a very competitive mid-field. Also, Trulli is not that young any more and he is paid a fraction of what Ralf was paid. I am not claiming that he is a top driver, just that he is much better than Mr. Excuse (Ralf). No comment on Glock as he is still a rookie. I don't know why you refer to the "low fuel" runs because Trulli has finished in the points several times this year (not just qulifying), a lot more than last year. He said that the team was not listening to him last year and focused the car / setup entirely on Ralf's input which is why I question Ralf's "position of authority".

Sour grapes from the most overpaid driver ($ to points - See F1 Racing May 07)? Ferrari will indeed support Raikkonnen, who is a world-champion driver, but they won't stop Massa from spreading his wings, either.

They're going to need both drivers to stave off Hamilton, Kubica and Heidfeld (gee - isnt' there a name missing from this list?)

Massa has outraced Raikkonen 3 times to 2? Massa has placed higher than Raikkonen twice, so that should be reversed. Plus, when Raikkonen did better, he did far better than Massa in 2 of the races. When he did worse, he was only a little behind. How does that constitute Massa outracing Raikkonen?
Australia - Raikkonen 8th, Massa 13th
Malaysia - Raikkonen 1st, Massa 17th
Bahrain - Raikkonen 2nd, Massa 1st
Spain - Raikkonen 1st, Massa 2nd
Turkey - Raikkonen 3rd, Massa 1st
As far as qualifying goes, Raikkonen consistently improves on his qualifying position (15->8, 2->1, 4->2, 1->1, 4->3) while Massa only did once. Not understanding how Massa is stronger.
