Wouldn''t be a bad idea, Sato is not as fast as Alonso but have plenty of experience to get some points! Can''t be worse than what Piquet is doing at the moment.

Picket as such, doesn't mean anything.
He has only the last name of this futher ...
I believe 100% that Takuma can do a better job than this amateur racer ...
Come on Taku. Go Go Go!

I agree with chigs. Narain Karthikeyan deserves an opportunity in a competitive car. He is fast and in a better car will be definitely amongst points. During his Jordan days he was very good on wet days.

Robert, I agree to some extent but...Mclaren was only competitive last year because of Alonso's input and the experience he took to McLaren from a 2 time world champion car... and yes I do agree that Alonso didn't provide LH with input towards the end of the year... thus LH didn't win the easiest championship anyone has ever had in their hands...
LH is dead fast... no doubt... but he yet has to prove a good driver engineer and no, I am not an anti LH fan (nor a fan yet either)...
Now regarding Piquet... I agree, he has not shown what he is capable of... but neither has a lot of other drivers that have been in F1 a much longer time... (Barrichelo: DC: Fisi: etc, etc..).

Frank G ... lets not be so naive. Piquet is running Alonso set ups. Lewis would give any team mate a run for their money. Piquet needs to go because he has not provided any help to Alonso. I'm sure that Lewis in return gave good feed back for Alonso to futher help the team. Yes, Alonso is a very good driver engineer. But don't tell me Lewis did well because of Alonso set ups as toward the middle of the year I doubt Alonso provided the help he started to give at the first of the year. Let face it, comparing Piquet to most drivers let alone Lewis is not a comparison...

Come on Grumpy_doctor... while LH is a fast driver and has won some races, we all know that he beat Alonso because he used Alonso's experience in setting up the car and was their prefered driver...
Come on, let's not be so naive...

the speculation was about sato replacing piquet. hsrd to rate piquet, sato is a mobile chicane, davidson (who somebody brought into the discussion for some reason) worse than sato. this is the normal rumour mongering that starts after a few races. ie  massa. probably without any foundation but i think it is put in just to stir things up. piquet has not been so bad as to warrant his removal so early in the season. he will probably last at least until the end of 2008

I'm with Tealeaf on Davidson. He raced for Minardi and spun off both times. He was outpaced by Sato in F3 and again in F1. When he tested for the main Honda team a few years back , he was often fastest on the Friday test. But in a race he just doesnt seem as good as Sato. I say let Piquet stay till at least the last third of the year. You cant go by the first few races. Of course Hamilton set the bar too high with his performances last year. Every new rookie is expected to be as good.
