More like.. I doubt I get one of the top rides so why would I leave to be in a parade. F1 has nothing to offer as the racing sucks and people are unfriendly. F1 is all about the What have you done for me lately? Ask the mid pack runners if they are just taking a pay check until they find a series that they really like. With leadership problems and circuits that provide no entertainment coupled with losing small teams F1 is just not as attractive as it would like to think it is. Top that with the fact his Dad spent time in F1 and has told him its not worth his time.

I agree with Graham Rahal, Formula 1 at times can be an utter bore at times. I probably only watch the first 10-30 laps of Grand Prix depending on the track that is being raced on. I do rate Bourdais and I feel that he has been unlucky in not getting in Formula 1 earlier, but did very well in sportscars with a 2nd place finishe at Le Mans with Peuegot and 4th place Pescaraolo and two retirements. Rahal will be better off in ALMS because I am sure the name will attract big sponsors for an LMP2 team or NASCAR for example.

Oh come on, it's the same everywhere. I don't see the DPR or FMSI drivers fighting for victories in GP2 either. You have to work your way up as a driver. There are plenty of good teams in F1 who could well get their act together, it's just not happening right now. Remeber Renault won 2 consecutive titles not too long ago. There will never be a field where EVERY car and EVERY team can fight for victories, especially not in a non-unified series. And unified series kinda suck. You want weight penalties too or what? Do you find lottery draws more exciting? You whine like little Rahals, the lot of you.

At the end of the day indycar is just a national series, also i doubt he could even win in gp2 nevermind f1 in a top team. His win was fortuatous(most us open wheeled races spend more time under yellows than green)he cant consistantly out pace justin wilson either.

Let's face it: F-1 is booorrring. All the excitement hinges on the refueling strategy. It's a development series but what does that mean now: more little thingys tacked on the car to gain a .0001 sec advance. Ridiculous tire and engine rules. Time to switch to a spec car and engine without downforce aids but with super wide tires to get back to real racing. And the move to the middle/far east and those soulless tracks because they have neat paddocks. If the global economy falters they won't be able to field 18 cars. Rahal
is wise to say in the US. You have to be a Euro to have any chance. Look at Vetter. Already the talk is of him moving up to take Coldterds seat and what has he done lately

El Hamiltron... Racing the same everywhere? Do you watch any racing or have you just picked up the sport.. Ferrari has won all but one race this year. They have dominated for the last upteen years and when they are down McL picks up the slack. There are usually two teams every year that dominate. The mid pack and bottom feeders circle the track in a procession following behind the leaders in hopes of not being lapped. The Renault wins are an exception but there are even clouds over those victories.

I think Rahal is right. I am living in Holland and find out the tv channels we have here don't show the Indy 500 this weekend. And i have to admid if i could choose between the Monaco GP or The Indy 500 (2 of the 3 real classics left)i choose Indy to watch. It's like chosing between watching the greatest spectacle of motor racing or the greatest traffic jam of motor racing! Personely i will pick the spectacle! So i think for a driver his age he's very mature in the head

The kid's got a bit of a point - more must be done for F1 to increase passing opportunities and competitiveness between teams.

For example: an FIA-standard ground effects package.

Why not?

i would hate for formula 1 or any european series to turn in to a us style series with its surgicaly enhanced racing where luck counts as much as skill
