What has happened to all the Alonso bashers that said Nelsinho was going to show Alonso how to do it. I hope Emerson Fittipaldi is happy with all the coments he made about Kovalinan. Nelsinho has also been in the car a year longer, and did the preliminary testing for the new car. Shame !!!

If he drops out of F1 - he'll reappear in the IRL ! I can't believe he's any worse than Ralf Schumacher who survived in F1 for years !

To put it mildly: I have seen far more exciting young driver appearing in F1 in the last few years (Raikonnen didn't even have a Superlicence - he had to race "on probation" for some GPs). And, as Ray Watson puts it: it's not like Piquet was thrown into the car, much less the team. I've seen better drivers being sacked after fewer GPs than him. The name, apparently, DOES carry some weight.
Well, he's better off than most, being (co-)owner of a moderatly successful GP2 team. It's not F1, but the money comes trickling in, anyway.

Davidson in at Renault? That would be a dream come true, if only it could happen. Im sure he would be closer to Alonso than Piquet staight away, and could even throw up a suprise or two in qualifying at places like Spa

Maybe its the fact he isn't in a team set up around him that's hurting him. Its hard to believe that a driver in a good team, with a car he helped develop is struggling so much. His racing is better than his qualifying, but you have to wonder what someone like Davidson would do behind the same wheel. Bet Renault are gutted about losing Kovalainen now - seems he and Fisichella out-drove last year's car better than many perhaps realised!

I recon that Renault should test Sato, Davidson, Grojean and Senna.

If anyone of them surprise, give them a shot.

The fact that his father was three times world champion, absolutely does not mean that he has the same competence. Looks like he got his chance based of his fahter's contacts with Briatore. And his " humble" attitude is not helping him either.Obvious he is feeling the pressure of the name Piquet. I would to love his father's comments now.

If Nelsinho is on is wayho, then Anthony Davidson is a better bet for the seat than Taku or either of the current test drivers. Flav will be chary about promoting a test driver (again) midway through the season, and Honda are probably already warming a seat for their favoured son somewhere. AD is a good development driver and has untapped potential, and he shows plenty of promise for an immediate improvement in qualifying position. He offers real promise of Constructors points, which is what the Regie need in their battle in the midfield, rather than just Alonsos overall championship position.
